-
Design & Permit
This is the initial phase where you work with a pool designer to determine the size, shape, style, and features of your pool. Permits and zoning regulations are also addressed during this stage.
-
Excavation
The area where the pool will be located is excavated, and the shape of the pool begins to take form. Proper measurements and alignments are critical at this stage.
-
Framing and Structural Support
Steel reinforcement, also known as rebar, is installed to provide structural support for the pool shell. This is crucial for the pool's longevity and durability.
-
Shotcrete or Gunite
The pool shell is formed using either shotcrete or gunite, which is a mixture of concrete and sand. It's applied through a high-pressure hose to create the pool's structural shell.
-
Plumbing & Electrical
The plumbing and electrical systems are installed. This includes pipes, filtration systems, skimmers, and electrical wiring for pool lights, pumps, and other equipment.
-
Coping and Tile Installation
Coping, which forms the pool's edge, and decorative tiles are installed. Coping provides a smooth, safe transition from the deck to the pool, and tiles add aesthetic appeal.
-
Decking and Landscaping
The pool deck is constructed, typically using materials such as concrete, pavers, or stone. Landscaping around the pool area is also completed to enhance its appearance.
-
Filling and Start-Up
The pool is filled with water, chemicals are added to balance the water, and the pool equipment is tested. This is followed by a final inspection to ensure everything is functioning correctly.
